Using the Ruby Lane Wish List Tool
March 8, 2013 - 12:51pm
When you are ready to look at the items placed on your WISH LIST, you will find the WISH LIST tab on the very top row on the right hand side of all Ruby Lane pages. It is found along with these following tabs: Help, My Account and Sign Out. The WISH LIST will show the shop name, the item and price. You can scan all items on the list and quickly refer back to the saved item with one mouse click! There are a multitude of reasons to use the WISH LIST. One common reason would be to find the item again… if you are surfing the web searching for an item and looking at many different sites, you may simply forget… “Hmm… on which website did I see that great heart charm?” Also, if you add an item to your WISH LIST and subscribe to e-mail alerts when an item changes… for instance if you had your eye on a pair of earrings and the shop owner marks them down… an email would be sent and perhaps the lower price would better suit your budget. It also is a nice comparison tool for pricing similar items found around the web or in other shops. I recall the sweetest story associated with the WISH LIST. Last year, a gentleman purchased a lovely pair of vintage drop carnelian earrings. Usually when a gentleman purchases jewelry, I inquire whether is a gift so I can wrap it appropriately. This charming fellow answered … Yes, indeed, it was a birthday gift for his lovely wife and mentioned that he found it on her Ruby Lane wish list. How romantic!! And, what a smart husband… He purchased something her heart desired! Ladies… it might behoove you to teach your partner just exactly where the WISH LIST is located and why! Men are often at a loss for finding the perfect gift and having coveted items on a wish list for them to choose from would be a win-win for all parties concerned. He finds a great present from a wonderful shop and you get exactly what you wanted! Earlier this year a man purchased a locket… as usual, I queried about the purchase. He mentioned his wife had just given birth to their second child and he wanted a locket for her to place their beloved children’s photos inside. This was another endearing and beautiful gesture. The WISH LIST may be useful to other family members as well, perhaps your children want to purchase a special gift for a birthday or Mother’s day. They could sneak a peek on the WISH LIST to find just what Mom loves! In conclusion, the WISH List is quite a useful tool not only to yourself, but to share with others! Who knows, this year you might just receive the special bracelet you had your eye on! Karen Soldwisch Synergy Jewelry and Collectibles
