There are plenty of changes due this year while shopping when new bagging laws take effect. Hawaii has already banned plastic bags, as well as many cities in California, New York and Texas, and even many countries such as India, Germany, Japan and Australia. Plastic bags are such a convenience when we shop, but unfortunately they are destructive to the environment. Just driving down any street you are sure to see at least one littering the road or decorating a tree.
Price tags at antique malls and titles in online auctions include “vintage” but the vast majority of metal signs in the collectibles market today have been recently manufactured.
The snows have come, and they will be with us for a while. While this may have a negative impact on bricks and mortar stores in parts of the country that have snow, it offers a great opportunity to all shop owners. Many shoppers increase their browsing and shopping on line during these times when it is cold and the weather outside is frightful, and that can make for some delightful sales opportunities.
This example is a reproduction celery dish in Baltimore & Ohio Railroad's 1827-1927 "Colonial" design. Called "Centenary" by collectors, the designs in this pattern were originally created to commemorate the railroad's 100th anniversary.
It is after Christmas and I am putting my kitchen back together. I have lots of stuff! Some would call it clutter, I call it My Collection. With the new ideas of minimization, young people see little value in the old. My older friends are talking of getting rid of their extras for it is too much bother and work they claim. I am not there yet.
