Plaza Notes

Past Hence: Research Resources

After a successful treasure hunt, I can’t wait to get back to my computer to research what I have acquired.  My husband says I spend too much “unpaid” time this way, but more often than not, this is not “unpaid” time because shop items that include proper identification will sell for more than items that are listed more generically.

Ruby Plaza Shop of the Day - Love Train Vintage

Shop Owner: Marge Leyden

A little introduction: My shop is a labor of love. I enjoy collecting vintage clothing, accessories and jewelry and then passing on my treasures to someone else to love. The great thing about selling is that no matter what I find, it's the right size for one of my customers or future customers.

Love Train Vintage: Research can be addicting!

There are times when I feel like the Sherlock Holmes of vintage clothing and accessories. I have an insatiable need to find out the history of items I've found in my travels. The item I'm preparing for sale aren't just accessories or clothing to me. The item has been worn or used by someone, picked out by someone and I always wonder what motivated them to pick or choose that item for a special occasion.
