Do you know what this is? An interesting piece of history?

A professional antique structure salvage company is disassembling the house that has been in my family for over 150 years.  They found this item (among others) behind a wall.   It is made of wood and string.  The tiny slats are wood.  The end piece slides out from between the carved braces.  We have no idea what is is or what it was used for.  Can you identify it for us?
Thank you,
Allane

NFTL reader needs help in identifing a Teddy Bear

Hi,

Three or four years ago I found this little teddy bear in a box purchased at auction. From the tip of his ear to his feet he measures about 8-1/4".  Arms, legs and head are adjustable. He has what appear to be glass eyes; his nose is tightly sewn brown threads.

What's This? from Marge Leyden - Born Too Late Vintage

This is a dish purchased by my husband's grandmother. She thought it was possibly Imari. This is now part of her estate. I know nothing about what this piece is made of or what it's possible value is. I would appreciate any assistance in determining what I have here.

Sincerely,

Marge Leyden, Born Too Late Vintage:

Reader Needs Help Identifying This Item

Hello,
I have a beautiful porcelain piece that I have NO idea what it was used for or what is called. It is approximately 3 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" wide. The holes on top are 3/4" in diameter. The bottom is signed (engraved) with what appears to be Norma Hoemann or Holmann. A friend told me she thought it was from the 1930s but wasn't sure what it was. It seems too short for a napkin holder. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Christy

What's This? Mindestinh Hunter Decanter

Greetings:

The attached images are of a Mindestinh liquor decanter that has been in our family for decades. It was given to us by a relative in Germany in the 1970s. Can you give us some information on Mindestinh, and if possible, the value of this decanter?

Thanks so much.
John R.

What's This? Help dating Buddha statue please.

Below are pictures of a Buddha statue I have in my possession. It belonged to my paternal Grandmother, was given to my parents, and has now come to me.

What's This? Multifaceted Crystal Necklace

This multifaceted crystal necklace was made by the R. F. Simmons Company. The same R. F. Simmons who made the gold pocket watch chains. These crystal beads are strung on a fine gold chain.

What's This? Do you know the manufacturer?

I wanted to know if anyone recognized the manufacturer of this brooch? It has rivoted backs and bumpy glass pearls as well as bumpy glass elongagted aurora borealis like stones next to the pearl center.  IT also has fauz moonstones on the edges. I have seen the rivoted backs on pieces and was wondering if anyone knew the manufacturers of them to get me started on looking this up...

Thanks, Vintagesparkles

What's This? Mystery Item - Do you know?

I need help with this. It is a primitive appearing rattle made of cane wrapped round and round and secured with string. The bottom of the rattle is braided red string or raffia. Something is making a rattle sound inside. The handle is bent and also appears to be heavier than the cane. It is 6 1/2 long and 2" wide. I was going to list it as a baby rattle, but then I thought that was stupid--babies always put things in their mouths and no one would want this in a baby's mouth.
