A little introduction: After 25 years in education, most recently as a curriculum director, I have retired and am devoting full-time to transforming a hobby as a vintage jewelry collector, into a career as a Ruby Plaza shop owner. My husband and I live in Solvang, CA and have a micro vineyard on our property, which is bottled by our daughter’s wine bar in town. “It’s all good!”

Favorite item in your shop? I love the depth of the colors (real opals are my favorite gem) in this unsigned glass fire opal rope necklace.

What got you started selling online? I began selling vintage jewelry a year ago in a local antique shop. I often used Ruby Lane listings in order to determine wholesale versus retail pricing, and just to learn. I was motivated to open my 2Hearts Jewelry shop in mid-September by the Ruby Plaza pricing structure and ability to sell contemporary items – I’ll have a chance to grow from newbie to pro.
