To help celebrate our 15th year in business, we have reduced our shop set-up fee to $15 for new shop owners wanting to sell on Ruby Lane. 2013 will be full of 15-year anniversary promotions, and we want to continue our celebration beyond our current buyers and sellers, to include new shop owners who join the site.

As you know, Ruby Lane is celebrating its 15th year in business. To celebrate, we have launched a new contest through our Facebook page. In addition to our Facebook Followers both Ruby Lane buyers and shop owners are eligible to enter and win.
When is it time to downsize? I'm often asked ...when it's time... or how to go about doing it! It can be most difficult to "let-go" of some of your first collection acquisitions. Trust me, been there, done that! For most collectors there comes a time when tough decisions need to be made. It may take several years of collecting for this time to come. Others have collected at warp speed and may decide after a year that their collection has become so massive it's not easy to enjoy and appreciate each piece.
Many reproductions of Art Nouveau lamp forms are available from modern companies. Confusion can easily arise when these copies are marketed in concert with the names of the original designers who created them in the Art Nouveau period.
Salt Cellars have been around for centuries and were especially popular to collect around the first part of the 20th century (1930s and 40s). They are still very collectible today, coming in all shapes, sizes and made of many different materials, such as silver, pewter, glass, stoneware and even shell.
