Show Your Support For Breast Cancer Awareness In October

October is breast cancer awareness month. The disease attacts women of all race and ages, and it is rare for a person not be affected by it in some way, even if only to know someone who has it. My hair dresser fought breast cancer last year. It was very sad to see her with a shaved head, knowing how she works daily to make people's hair beautiful. It brought the disease home to me in a very personal way.

Each year, at this time, it gives us a chance to show our support in some way. Some women engage in walks for breast cancer awareness. Others wear BC themed items, or pink fashion items. I engage in social networking on Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter and all three of these social platforms are filled with discussions, photos and items which feature the traditional breast cancer pink ribbon.

Have you given some thought to how you will support the cause this year? Here are some images to give you inspiration. All are from my Breast Cancer Awareness board at Pinterest. I hope that they will help you find a special way to show your support.
