December 1 - Fantastic Red Tag Sale

Many stores had a Black Friday or a Cyber Monday sale. Ruby Lane had a fantastic Red Tag Sale to start the holiday season. The items were carefully chosen, had lovely photos and captivating descriptions. I appreciate being notified in advance of a sale.

I enjoy participating in the Red Tag Sales and bringing new customers to my shop. I selected my items in advance and located them. I bought more tissue paper, bubble wrap and mailing tape. The site traffic increases before and after a sale. I try to have items in my shop for everyone. I listed 66 items for the Red Tag Sale and fourteen new items before the sale. I ship world-wide.

My wish list grew to over twenty items before the sale. People are still adding wish items. My shop visitors were over 900 for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I kept my phone in my pocket the day of the sale and was near a computer. I packed orders on Saturday and Sunday. Tomorrow I can mail the packages and email the customers with a tracking number.

How was the Red Tag Sale for my shop? Three shoppers ordered Friday night before the sale. Four Red Tag items sold during the sale. Eight regular items sold during the sale. After the sale ended, I had four more orders. I had mainly US orders and an order from Australia, Japan and Kuala Lumpur. One lady from the UK had a question. Most customers used PayPal and three used Amazon.

I ordered two items from a Ruby Lane shop during the sale. One was a Red Tag item and one was at the regular price. The site was busy when I ordered. I checked out quickly via PayPal. I like to treat myself.

When overseas shoppers checkout can they chose First Class International or Priority Mail? I email them and explain both ways to ship. I figure postage and then they pay.

This sale has been the busiest for my shop. I wish all Ruby Lane Shops success. I'd like another Red Tag Sale in January.

A big thanks to the Ruby Lane staff who worked during the Ruby Lane Red Tag Sale.
