A Picture Does Speak A Thousand Words

Part of selling on line means including some good photos of the merchandise being sold. After all a picture does speak a thousand words when an item can't be seen in person only on the monitor of a computer. Since a customer can't touch it, pick it up, hold it, inspect it then the next best thing is in focus pictures to help them see exactly what it is they are thinking about purchasing. Note in focus, have you looked at pictures on line and they are so blurry you wonder why they even bothered, or ask yourself the question what are they trying to hide? The last thing you want is to leave that type of impression in a potential customers mind.

There are times it takes 100 pictures to get a dozen that look right but the pay off can be huge. A good camera is sometimes key to getting a picture just right but they don't have to be expensive. There are some fine ones that have three of the most important things needed, anti-shake, capable of taking micro pictures, and low light capabilities. Do a quick search for cameras on sale and you will find a host of them, used or new, at very reasonable prices.

Have a great camera but the pictures still don't seem just right? It could be your lighting, bulbs that is. The optimum would be a 5500 kelvin 96 cri bulb used on at least each side of your subject. Diffused lighting is even better to keep glare from the lighting off the subject. Why these specs? Because they are the closest to day light and will not make your pictures too blue or too yellow. These can be found on the Internet and in a well equipped photography store and some hardware stores. Try some of these suggestions out and see if they help you to take a better picture and likely increase your sales.
